Accessibility
Nova should work for everyone who manages money, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, or a magnifier.
Our target
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA across the marketing site and the app. That is a goal we work toward, not a certification. In practice it means readable color contrast in light and dark themes, every control reachable and visible by keyboard, labeled form fields, and respect for your reduced-motion setting.
Known limits
These are the gaps we know about today:
Charts
Net worth history and allocation charts are drawn visually. The key numbers they summarize are also shown as text on the same page, but the chart shapes themselves are not fully described to screen readers.
Third-party windows
Linking a bank (Plaid), a brokerage (SnapTrade), signing in (Clerk), and checkout (Stripe) happen inside windows those providers build and run. We pick providers that publish accessibility commitments, but we can't fix issues inside their windows ourselves. Tell us anyway and we'll raise it with them.
Dense tables
Holdings, lots, and transaction tables can be wide. On small screens they scroll sideways, which is harder with a screen magnifier.
No formal audit yet
Our test suite runs automated accessibility checks (axe) on key pages and components, but automated checks catch only part of WCAG, and Nova has not been audited by an outside accessibility firm.
Report a barrier
If something on Nova is hard or impossible to use, email hello@novanetworth.com. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you use if you’re comfortable sharing it. We reply within 2 business days, and if you can’t complete something because of a barrier, we’ll help you get it done another way.
